WOODROW W. VAUGHAN JR.

Woodrow W. Vaughan, Jr. is the Senior Partner at Kidd & Vaughan and has been a trial lawyer at the firm for 30 years. Mr. Vaughan's practice focuses on all types of civil litigation involving businesses and individuals, plus representation of individuals in white-collar criminal matters.

Mr. Vaughan is a 1964 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and has an MBA from Stanford University. After serving on active duty in the United States Navy for 12 years, Mr. Vaughan attended law school at the University of Virginia, graduating in 1978 and forming Kidd & Vaughan shortly thereafter.

Mr. Vaughan is a past President and past Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross, past President and past Chairman of the Board of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and has served on several charitable boards. He is a retired Captain in the United States Navy Reserve and the proud grandfather of 3 girls.


GWENN DORB HOLLAND

Gwenn Dorb Holland has over 30 years of litigation experience. Ms Holland handles cases in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate level. Her practice includes substantial work in both arbitration and mediation, and she has frequently served as an arbitrator.

Ms. Holland specializes in family law, including both domestic relations and trusts and estate litigation. She also has extensive experience in commercial litigation and employment disputes.

Ms. Holland graduated from Boston University in 1973 and received her law degree from Emory University in 1977. She joined the firm right out of law school and has been a partner since 1984.

Ms. Holland is a member of the Litigation, Family Law and Fiduciary Law Sections of the Atlanta Bar Association. She is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and a Master in the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Inn of Court.


DAVID N. SCHAEFFER

David N. Schaeffer has been a trial attorney since 1981. His practice includes virtually all types of civil litigation, personal injury claims, professional malpractice litigation, and employment-related litigation. During his career, Mr. Schaeffer has tried or litigated hundreds of cases in federal and state courts involving business disputes; employment discrimination; personal injury and wrongful death claims; medical, legal and accounting malpractice; and non-compete/non-solicitation covenants. Mr. Schaeffer has obtained judgments and settlements for his clients collectively in excess of $35 million. He has argued over a dozen cases in the federal and state appellate courts in Georgia.

Mr. Schaeffer is a native of Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Duke University, magna cum laude, with a B.A. degree in Economics and Religion in 1978 and received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1981. He became a partner with Kidd & Vaughan in 1987.

Mr. Schaeffer served as the Chair of the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association in 2003-2004 and currently is Vice President of the Atlanta Bar Association. He also served as President of the Atlanta Division of the American Heart Association from 1997-1999 and is a lay assistant and cantor at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Atlanta.


TINA SHADIX RODDENBERY

Tina Shadix Roddenbery, who has more than 20 years of litigation experience, focuses her practice on all aspects of family and domestic relations law, including divorce, custody, support modification, legitimation, paternity and adoption. In addition to her trial experience, she has extensive experience in resolving cases by mediation and settlement, having mediated hundreds of cases as a participant on behalf of clients and as a fully trained mediator and late-case evaluator.
Ms. Roddenbery is a sought after speaker on topics associated with family law throughout the state, has published many articles on family law for Continuing Legal Education seminars and is a co-author of family law legislation. Ms. Roddenbery has held leadership positions within the State Bar Family Law Section and the State Bar of Georgia, including sitting on the State Bar Board of Governors since 1995 and being a past president of the Younger Lawyers Division. She is one of 33 fellows in the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a highly respected organization of the top family law practitioners in the state. She is also a master in the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.

Ms. Roddenbery is recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer by her peers as reported in Atlanta Magazine and as a Georgia Legal Elite as reported in Georgia Trend Magazine. Ms. Roddenbery has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia to act as a Special Master overseeing disciplinary proceedings brought by the Office of General Counsel. Ms. Roddenbery has also been appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia to serve on the Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency which oversees continuing legal education for lawyers who practice in Georgia. She is a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the Atlanta Bar Association. Ms. Roddenbery also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Advisory Board for Atlanta Legal Aid Society.

Ms. Roddenbery will serve as Vice-Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, 2008-2009, and as Chair for 2009-2010.

Ms. Roddenbery attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies, graduating cum laude in 1984. She then continued her education at the University of Georgia for law school, receiving her JD Degree in 1987.

Ms. Roddenbery is also very involved with her children's schools, serving on the Board of Trinity School and the Board of The Schenck School.


JAMES D. BLITCH IV

James D. Blitch IV is an experienced litigator who focuses on commercial litigation and personal injury cases. He has first-chair trial experience representing clients in both jury and bench trials in state and federal court. He also has appellate court experience. In addition to trial work, his practice involves arbitration and mediation. He regularly represents both plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Blitch grew up in Winder, Georgia. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Duke University, graduating from there cum laude in 1987. He then taught high school history for three years and subsequently obtained a M.A. degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1992. He came back to Georgia to pursue his legal education at the University of Georgia where he obtained a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree in 1996. He joined the State Bar of Georgia in 1996.

Mr. Blitch is a member of the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. He was an at-large Board member of the section during 2003-2007 and currently serves as Treasurer. He is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He has been a Barrister of the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court. He has published articles and spoken at continuing education seminars on matters relating to civil litigation.


SARAH T. GORDON

Sarah Trevena Gordon came to Kidd & Vaughan as a paralegal in 2002 and joined the firm as an associate in 2006 after completing her law degree at Georgia State University's College of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2006. Ms. Gordon focuses her practice on commercial and personal injury litigation. She also has significant experience in family law. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association.

Ms. Gordon was born and raised in northern New Hampshire. She graduated from Middlebury College in 1987, summa cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in Russian and Political Science. She went on to earn a master's degree in Russian from Middlebury in 1988 and has spent considerable time studying, living and working in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Ms. Gordon's first career was in television, specializing in live broadcasts of major international sports and news events.


STEPHANIE M. JONES

Stephanie M. Jones is an associate with Kidd & Vaughan with six years of litigation experience. Prior to joining Kidd & Vaughan, Ms. Jones practiced at a regional law firm and a national employment law firm. Her practice at Kidd & Vaughan focuses on domestic litigation and labor and employment cases. She has trial experience representing clients in jury trials in state and federal courts. In addition to trial work, her practice involves mediation.

Ms. Jones grew up in Alcoa, Tennessee. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Duke University, graduating from there with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Drama in 1997. She then pursued her legal education in her home state at the University of Tennessee College of Law, graduating from there with her Juris Doctorate, with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, in 2001. She joined the State Bar of Georgia in 2001.

Ms. Jones is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the Atlanta Bar Association. She is also an alumni of the L.E.A.D. Atlanta, Class of 2006 and the Destiny Fund, Class of 2007. Ms. Jones serves on the Catalyst for Care Board of Directors and is an active in various community activities. She has also spoken at continuing education seminars about current issues in the labor and employment sector.


LUCY MARGARET MARTIN

Lucy Martin was born in Houston, Texas and moved with her family to Ireland in 1972. She attended high school in Ireland and went on to earn a B.A. (Honors) degree in Medieval English and Greek & Roman Art & Archeology from Trinity College, Dublin (1983).

In 1997 she completed a Masters in Business Administration from the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK. In January 1997, Ms. Martin moved to Atlanta from Ireland with her husband and their young son, and went on to pursue her legal education at Georgia State University, College of Law, where she obtained a J.D. degree in 2006 and earning top grades in Litigation and Juvenile Law.

While at Georgia State's College of Law, Ms. Martin was a Student Member of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court. She joined the State Bar of Georgia in 2006. Ms. Martin began working for Kidd & Vaughan, LLP in August of 2006, practicing in the area of Family Law. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association.
